Bands of America - Music New braunfels Concert reviews
2 1/2 hours of solid laughter
I was pleasantly surprised by the performances of Engvall and Bands of America - Music, as they both seemed comfortable and incorporated mostly unfamiliar material, without relying on their usual catchphrases such as "here's your sign" or "you might be a redneck".
Larry the Cable Guy, on the other hand, effortlessly engaged with the audience and delivered mostly new material, with only a single "Get r dun" at the beginning of his routine. Despite his relaxed demeanor, he managed to elicit the most laughter from me throughout the night.
Unlike Larry, Engvall, and Bands of America - Music came across as a bit distant, with Engvall driving a Mercedes and lacking the approachability of Larry. Nonetheless, they still delivered humor.
It was refreshing that none of the three comedians resorted to using foul language, showcasing their confidence in their material without relying on vulgarity for shock value. They were all genuinely funny and well worth the admission price, making me eager to see them perform again.
